"We visited Pittsburgh as a get-away and a friend recommended Mansions on Fifth after attending an event there. Entering the front door was like finding an elegant, civil world of the past. The facilities show care and love; the staff are friendly and customer-focused. We appreciated the bar and sitting areas as quiet places for gathering and discussing. The bar offers drink and food options we enjoyed at the end of the day. Our room was quiet, clean, and well appointed. Walnut street, a 15 minute walk away, offered many eating options. The Airport Flyer bus (route 28X) stops on the corner of Amberson and Fifth next to the hotel. The Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, and the Phipps Conservatory are a 25-30 minute walk and worth a visit. "

"First time staying at this hotel. We were very pleased with everything from the very clean and spacious king bed room to the absolutely wonderful staff we encountered throughout our stay. The staff was polite and friendly and very helpful and accommodating with my mother and I and our mobility issues. We are in Oakland area a lot for doctor appointments, so we are adding this hotel to the top of our list of usual places to stay. And the food at the in house restaurant was delicious and the wait staff delivering room service were also wonderful."

"Rooms are larger than most; e.g. each room has a nice loveseat. Good workout room, indoor pool, surprisingly good and well-presented free hot and continental breakfast. Well located for shopping, dining, highways, tourism (say, in Pittsburgh). Professional and courteous staff."
