"Our room was extremely clean, beds and linen spotless as was the bathroom. Cracking full English breakfast as well, We walked down the hill into Whitehaven and found a couple of great places to eat and drink. Highly recommend The Strand and Anna’s Bar and Kitchen."

"The location next to Derwentwater was amazing with great walks from the door and right next to the jetty for the Keswick Launch. We loved watching the birds on the feeders outside the restaurant windows. The breakfast was fantastic with excellent quality ingredients and plenty to choose from including a self service full English cooked breakfast. Our small double bedroom was very clean and looked recently decorated. I loved the decor and the bar reminded me of a hunting lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed our stay there."

"This is an old interesting building so you have to take that into consideration, Room was clean, staff very helpful, food very good . Parking is not a problem but be careful of the access. All in all an enjoyable stay, recommended."
Royal Oak at Keswick

"We’ve just spent two nights at the Royal Oak and had a lovely stay. The rooms are lovely, everything is clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is incredible, and the location is perfect for exploring Keswick and the lake."
The Golf Hotel

"All good and hotel met expectations. Hotel is perhaps a little tired and in need of some refurbishment but rooms clean, beds comfortable and good shower, ideal for golf trip accommodation and reasonably priced. Only thing to watch out for is my room was next to the kitchen extractor fan that comes on at 7am so don’t expect a lie in if you are in room 6"

"Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Property is in need of some TLC, and could be an excellent venue. Gardens in need of de-weeding and some cutting back on trees, brambles etc."
