The Edwardene

"My wife and I had a great stay at this property for a 4-day visit to the Lake District and could not have been happier. It's located on a quiet street of homes and guest houses, but is a short walk to the center of Keswick as well as my new favorite movie theater, the Alhambra Cinema, and our now-beloved local, the Dog & Gun Pub. It's also walkable to hikes at Skiddaw and Catbells. Our room on the first floor was spacious and comfortable with a nice bed for sleeping after an active day. Our main contacts at the property were with Lucy and Graham both of whom were very friendly and helpful particularly with places to hike and see in the area. Also, a special shoutout to Milla who warmly greeted us in the breakfast area our first morning. As for the breakfast, it was among the very best we have ever had and richly deserves the numerous awards it has received. We fell in love with Keswick and would absolutely stay at the Edwardene again. We highly recommend the Edwardene!"

"What a wonderful stay at the Castle Inn! Everything was excellent...,rooms,especially the wonderful comfy bed,were very good. Breakfast had a very good choice and good quality food.The meals in the evening also ticked all the boxes! Excellent pool,sauna/steam room with a large jacuzzi....very clean throughout.Staff were very welcoming,and very helpful....Katie was lovely at reception and Paul served a great pint of guinness! Definately will return."
The Grange Country House

"We received a phone call from The Grange several hours before check-in, telling us that we could check in early if we wished as the weather was poor. This was just the start of the care and attention we found during our stay. The room was beautiful and very well appointed, the rest of the hotel (guest house seems too reductive) equally beautiful. A quiet, relaxing, place with fabulously attentive staff who were just so willing to help. The styling and attention to detail were second to none. The breakfasts were wonderful, too. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and a range of cooked breakfasts that we very much enjoyed and which really set us up for the day. This was our second stay at The Grange and we can't wait to return!"

Keswick Park Hotel

"The room was clean beside a blood stain on one of the duvets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue as the road was being resurfaced, but the staff did tell us where the best place to park was. The breakfast was excellent, it really set us up for a day in the hills. Overall a good value room for visiting the Lakes."

"Great place to stay the rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are polite and welcoming and the food is fantastic."
