"The room was a bit "spartan" but the king bed was extremely comfortable. Just don't stay in room 432. The view is AC units and random other trashy items and the back of a building's roof. It was reminiscent of a 1980s Sanford and Son episode. I got a few emails from the hotel saying that there might be rooms available to upgrade. I really did not want to pay for an upgrade but would you really give your hotel guests a view of the junkyard if there were other rooms as options?"

"I booked a stay for my client from May 14–15, and she separately booked May 15–18 herself. Before she arrived, I specifically called the front desk to ask whether the reservations could be connected so she wouldn’t need to check out, switch rooms, or come back downstairs in the middle of her stay. I explained multiple times that she was arriving internationally and would be very jet-lagged, so I wanted to make sure everything was smooth for her. I was clearly told that although the reservations could not technically be merged, she could stay in the same room and would not need to check out/check back in until May 18. Today, while she was inside the room resting, two staff members opened her room door because they thought she had checked out. She was extremely uncomfortable and upset by this. When I called the front desk to ask what happened, I was then told she was supposed to come downstairs and provide her card information again. Neither she nor I were ever told this during check-in or during my phone call yesterday. What upset me even more was the attitude from the front desk staff. When I explained that my guest felt uncomfortable because strangers opened her room while she was inside, I was basically asked, “What do you want us to do?” Then I was told she needed to add a debit card at the front desk, and the call was ended."

"Shoutouts to the night receptionist who helped me the 16th of May. I booked the dormitory and someone had used my assigned bunk which sucked because it was 1 in the morning (this was not Stay 424’s fault). I called it in and within the hour I was rebooked to another accommodation. Stay 424 has won my business for any future trips to Chicago on customer service alone. I think you’d struggle to find anywhere else where management has your back at 1 AM like that"
