"Odd smell on fourth floor throughout our four day stay. Entered the elevator as someone was exiting and smoking a joint. I know that is not the hotel’s job to stop every smoker, but it is a non-smoking hotel. It’s a nice, new hotel and I would stay again when I visit the area."

Best Western near Lackland AFB/SeaWorld

"Well, I stayed here three nights as my son was graduating Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB. The Best Western is conveniently located right off Loop-410, not far from Ingram Park Mall and close to Lackland (about a 15-minute drive). There are actually several Best Western's "near" Lackland AFB, so make sure you're looking at the right one (this one is a two-story hotel). I'd say the facility itself is rather dated, but the management has kept the place very clean. It may be old, but it doesn't "feel" old, as everything in the room is very clean and well-maintained. My original impression changed the longer I stayed, and if my experience is "the norm" (and I don't know if it is or not), I would not recommend this for a one-night stay, but the longer I stayed, the more I liked the place. It seems both the A/C and Fridge were "off" when I got to the room, as I had a hot room and warm fridge, but by morning both the room and fridge were to my liking and comfortable. So, not sure if it was a bad-luck room or management policy to save money on rooms not occupied. Had I stayed just one night I would have been upset, but as I was there for several nights, the room was very nice after the first night. The biggest thing... very clean room, I can say that. I'd come again for a long stay, but not for one night."

Best Western Plus Lackland Hotel & Suites

"We were in town for Air Force basic training graduation. Staff was very helpful in terms of updates right from check in as there were some changes due to weather. Staff opens up breakfast early on BMT graduation days to accommodate early delay to the base. Hotel is just minutes from the Valley Hi gate which is very convenient. Unfortunately elevator was down during our stay but staff did allow for fully refunded cancellation for those that could not/would not use the stairs while the elevator was out. Room was overall clean. Floors were quiet. Work out are was small but adequate. Overall would stay here again if I have business at Lackland AFB."

"This hotel was amazing. The rooms were very clean, spacious , and very comfortable as far as temperature. The breakfast was good. They had a worker by the name of YeVett who was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you YeVett for your great hospitality. If you are looking for a great place to stay for the Airman graduation this is the place . It’s only 5 minutes from the base."
