"I added that detail naturally into the review: My stay had some positives, but there were also several issues that need improvement. The original room I was given had a door that I couldn’t even open. The lady at the front was very kind and came to help me. She noticed the issue and also realized the room was not cooling properly, so she quickly gave me another room, which I appreciated. The second room itself felt nice and fresh with the A/C running, and the bed was made well. Unfortunately, I noticed hair inside the sheets, which made me question whether they had actually been cleaned properly. The floors were also extremely dirty, and I saw some roaches during my stay. I also noticed gaps at the bottom of the door. There were maintenance issues as well. The TV would not turn on, and the sink was loose. When I first turned on the sink, the pipe underneath wasn’t connected and water spilled onto the floor. On the positive side, the staff were great and had wonderful attitudes throughout my stay. The area felt safe and it was fairly quiet around the property, which I liked. Since my room was toward the back of the building, I did notice a lot of bird droppings on the floor near the rails. Overall, I think this place has potential, but it definitely needs major improvements in cleanliness and maintenance."

"We loved that the property was right across the street from the beach so beach access was very easy. However, the breakfast was not a continental breakfast, and everything served was cold, on purpose. Cold cereal, cold yogurt, cold boiled eggs in the shell, bagels, and apples and bananas. The only thing hot was coffee. So having to eat breakfast out both days cost about $150 extra. Also, do not use their shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel because it doesn't even lather. Bring your own. Oh, and the only elevator in the building to get into the building from the parking area was very small and super slow. There is also very limited number of handicap parking spaces. We will use them again and be better prepared next trip."

"A lot went wrong here, and I will be contacting Sleep Inn directly. Upon asking about the "buffet" breakfast, we were told the kitchen was being "remodeled" and that there would only be coffee in the room. (This was news to us, as we had chosen the hotel over a competitor for the breakfast, and this information was not volunteered until I asked.) We were assigned a room that had a snack wrapper in the bedding and no top sheets (the sheet between the mattress sheet and the comforter) on either bed. We changed to a room that also had no top sheets on either bed AND had NO towels, washcloths, etc. We made do by remaking the beds ourselves with the sheets in the proper order. The walls in the second room had smudges on the headboards and visible mold near the plugs on the wall. We asked for towels and were told there were no washcloths. The front desk person was apologetic that night and the next morning (same person), but the hotel looked unkempt, including crumbs and debris in the hallways. We never saw any staff except the one front desk employee, including no housekeeping staff before we checked out at 9:30. Hard times, Sleep Inn? I will be asking for (and expecting) compensation, which I have never found a need to insist upon before."
