Very busy at check-in. Staff was friendly but they didn’t notify us when the room was ready as they said they would so we had a much longer wait than anticipated so that part was frustrating. Once checked in though the rest was great. The lobby bar was roomy and clean and comfy. Food was awesome. Property was a great location and very well maintained. Highly recommend

The service was amazing. However, the property is aged. The rooms are small. There needs to be some upgrades made. The halls smelled like weed the whole weekend. This will not be my first choice the next time we visit Galveston. Marriott is much better.

We were there celebrating a surprise family reunion for my brother in laws birthday. The staff was amazing! James made sure our stay was on point. Sam stepped in and helped us with our surprise and took a picture of all 17 of us. The swim up bar was great. It would be nice if it were open later. There were still quite a few people around when it shut down. The breakfast was great - Texas shaped waffle was delicious. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked well keeping the room cool.
