"I am considered a clean freak by my family. Even though my room walls had no pictures and was very plain I felt it was very, very clean. Breakfast: The first morning there was a toaster but we could not find any bread. The biscuits were hard as a rock plus we could not find any butter to put on them. No syrup for the pancakes. The second morning everything was great. The A/C was VERY noisy. Not sure if it might be going out. All in all, a very pleasant stay."

"Great peaceful place that our family thoroughly enjoyed! Our unit was much more spacious than the photos so we had lots of room. It also had everything we needed to feel right at home! We loved being in nature with animals and all but also still very close to town! We will definitely be back!"

"The property was clean and tastefully decorated. It was also well stocked with incidental toiletries to include toothbrush kits, although I did not need to use any of the supplies the host provided. I used one towel as a floor-mat and showered with my own towel, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I only had one very minor issue with a mechanical squeak coming from the A/C unit which I solved by turning off the oscillation function. I passed this info on to the host and I'm sure they will address it for future guests. The shower had a nice stream of water which quickly warmed up, and the bed was very comfortable for either sitting or sleeping. Since the price was approximately 1/2 of what the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn were charging, I have only praise for this location. It is located south of town, but roughly in the middle of everything and only takes about 5 min to get to any of the attractions in Alpine. It is roughly 108 miles from Big Bend National Park, which is an easy drive. BEWARE of Alpine law enforcement, they can be very nit-picky about speed or other Texas Road Code enforcement. Totally enjoyable stay, would repeat 100%"
