"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep.
There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...
"The hotel’s construction is old, still using key instead of key cards, location is inconvenient compared to the other hotels in the town center, but hotel’s room has a beautiful view to the lake Toya. "
"This spot may not be one of the bigger roykans but is very hospitable. English friendly and onsen is tattoo friendly unfortunately the onsens are incredibly small the outside can only fit 2-3 people and the inside one is barely double that size. Dinner and breakfast were incredible."
"Beautiful hotel with picturesque outdoor baths and variety of indoor baths and sauna. Huge buffet for breakfast and dinner with variety of Asian food and some western choices."

"Surprisingly unique Onsen experience with natural hot springs for wading and foot baths available in the surrounding pathways. Noboribetsu is a must visit destination for travelers to Japan who desire something different and away from the busy streets of Tokyo, Osaka and other popular spots."
