Sands Ocean Club Resort

8/10 Good

"The room and accommodations were good except we could not enjoy the balcony at no point in our stay due to stinch of marijuana smoke and smell so strong. The stinch was in the elevator and entire 15th floor to our room. Front desk said there wasn't anything they could do about it. I find that unacceptable especially when our 11 year old granddaughter is with us. Non drug users seem to have no rights."

"We weren’t able to check into our room until almost 8 o clock at night. We got there at 3:30, checked in, but they told us to come back in an hour because the room wasn’t ready yet. When we came back, the line was so long for check in, I instantly began panicking after a 13 hour travel day wondering if we were ever gonna get our room. My two boys were with their Dad at the pool so I would go back and forth hoping for the line to die down. Around 7:30 pm I figured the line was not getting smaller so I chose to at last stand in the line. Noticing a new person on shift, I politely told the man I had already checked in hours ago and just need keys to our room. He allowed me to go in and spread check in and FINALLY got our room. In all the trips we’ve taken, nothing had caused me so much stress and anxiety then wondering if we were gonna be able to check in to our hotel that had been booked months in advance. Because of this, we won’t stay here again. We’ve stayed at the SeaCrest which we loved but chose Crown Reef because of the bigger water park. Not worth it!"
