"A special treat to stay in a chateau, so a bonus to also be able to have dinner there too. We stayed in the chateau itself rather than the renovated outbuildings, which was fun. Lovely buffet breakfast too. Very reasonable too, IMHO."

"It was ok very dated restaurant food very dear brasserie food good drinks reasonable price town nice but small"

"A warm welcome from Karin and we and our two Whippets enjoyed staying there! We would certainly recommend her lovely Chambre d’hôtes !"

"We arrived after a very long journey and the welcome we received from Charlotte was amazing! She was so helpful and kind in making sure we had everything we needed! The accommodation was super clean and comfortable. And I don't know where to start with the homemade breakfast - we all ate so much as it was all really tasty and fresh. We will definitely stay here again when travelling through France!"

"Such a beautiful hotel with a host who takes pride not only in the hotel but ensuring guest have an excellent stay."

"Excellent for stopover."

"Such a great stay here, whilst travelling through France"

"Beautiful property. Wonderful host. Could not ask for more. We have stay in 8 hotels over three weeks of this holiday and this was the best bed and most comfortable. "

"Friendly staff, clean room, easy parking. Didn’t go for the breakfast but there are plenty of places near by. Great food at the Italian restaurant round the corner, although the service was terrible, the food was good, and as a hotel stayer you get a small discount."

"Nice property Excellent evening meal"

"Big room, air condition, swimming pool."

"We arrived at 6pm for Check in & even though there was a note on the door to say it was open, it was locked & no-one came to greet us. The yard was very messy & there were lots of cats everywhere. We left to find more suitable accommodation."

"La personne qui nous a accueilli a été très agréable, nous a même proposé de changer de chambre pour un lit simple afin que je puisse dormir avec ma fille, nous avons passé un excellent moment"

"Our one night stay at Château Picol was our first experience in a French Château. Our hosts served delicious food, which included local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"Very friendly check in and service - dinner very good "

"Excellent HOTEL"

"Convenient location, very comfortable beds and pillows"

"Propre chaleureux et accueillant. Adresse à retenir. "

"Somewhat brusque check in but all other staff could not do enough for you including the lovely lady on breakfast who was kind enough to sit us in the bar and get us a coffee when we explained we didn't want a full breakfast despite being rushed off her feet. There is a pizza vending machine in the carpark which actually is not bad."

"Although rather small, the bedroom was comfortable and clean. The shower was good and it had a genuine non slip tray."
