"Nice Hotel, nice rooms. The restaurant down stairs was busy but they take for ever to bus the tables. Very short walk to Catalina Express. They have a limited shuttle but it was convenient. I was put by the ice machine and it was a little noisy, so if you want a quiet room ask to be away from the ice machine. Now the elevators are something else. They need work. They are a little scary cuz they shake and sound like they are falling apart. Over all it was a nice place to stay."

"Surprisingly Clean with Top-Notch 24/7 Service! If you're looking for a very practical, well-maintained place to stay, the Travelodge by Wyndham in Harbor City is a fantastic choice. The standout feature of this property is the excellent, spotless rooms. You can really tell how much effort went into updating the space, and the fresh design makes it feel incredibly welcoming after a long day of traveling. My only small piece of constructive feedback relates to the recent bathroom updates. The shower heater was quite tricky to figure out. I highly recommend that management thoroughly tests the shower heaters post-renovation and adds a simple, straightforward instruction label to make them easy for guests to use. Fortunately, the customer service here is phenomenal. The staff is available 24/7 and addresses guest issues promptly and with a great attitude, so help is always there if you need it. Ultimately, while it's not a perfect luxury motel, it is an excellent temporary shelter for tourists. It provides a safe, comfortable, and clean basecamp while exploring the area. Highly recommended for travelers who value cleanliness and highly responsive service!"

"My wife, adult daughters and I found ourselves in Long Beach for a funeral of a dear friend. He lived for decades on the harbor and loved seeing the Queen Mary. For that reason alone, we decided to stay on the Queen Mary for 4 nights while we celebrated his life... and could look across the harbor back at him. We actually didn't know what to expect. We knew from the reviews that the walls were thin, and the air conditioning was difficult to regulate. This was a 90-year-old ship, and we brought a fan and ear plugs if needed. They were not. The elegance of the Queen Mary far outweighed any small inconvenience. We rented two rooms. The front desk arranged our rooms to be together so that we shared a wall which completely took care of any noise issue. We opened the port holes immediately and let in the fresh ocean breeze. The cool evening air and comfortable beds made for a great night's rest. We loved spending our days in the Long Beach community and our nights celebrating on the Queen Mary. The food in the Promenade Restaurant was very good, and the service was excellent. The tours offered by the Queen Mary were all very historic driven and enjoyable. The Paranormal Ship Walk was an experience to behold. My youngest daughter even enjoyed an unexpected Lil Wayne and 2Chainz concert at the Amphitheater. Overall, our experience was fun and memorable...exactly as our dear friend would have wanted."

"I stayed one night before a cruise. The prepay price was very reasonable. I believe there have been recent updates to the motel property. The upstairs room was spacious and clean. No carpet but laminate flooring. The TV was a Roku system. There was an iron and board in the room. I was able to re-iron my sun dresses. Sam was the person at check-in at 7:30 pm. He was very friendly and helpful. I had a lot of questions about dinner options (chose door dash plus delivery is to room - outside door) and best way to go to port in the morning. I’m glad I read trip advisor reviews. It was true!"

"The staff here are the best thing about the hotel. The beds were comfortable. I don’t like that the bathroom sink is outside the bathroom. It’s on a busy street so very loud. Next to the freeway as well. The breakfast was so so the room is very small hard to get around my visit had a family of a dozen made it very awkward. Didn’t like the ice machine was on a different floor. Sharing the elevator with housekeeping wasn’t fun either waited over 5 minutes to use the elevator there’s only one. No air conditioning in the lobby or the hallways."

"This is a perfect budget option for a single night before sailing on a cruise. The hotel is clean and basic and offers free shuttle to the port, it is walking distance from many fast food restaurants. Nothing fancy but good enough for a night."

"We had a wonderful stay at Unik Motel in Harbor. The staff were incredibly kind, especially Evelyn, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit. I was traveling with my 80-year-old mother, and they graciously honored our request for a room without a bathtub, which made her stay much safer and more comfortable. They also provided extra rags whenever we needed them, generously lent us their coffee maker, and offered complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. These thoughtful gestures made us feel truly welcome. Excellent customer service and genuine hospitality. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!"
