"Super séjour, endroit magnifique avec des hôtes accueillants et dévoués à nous faire vivre un séjour mémorable dans leur région. On recommande fortement."
"Fantastic stay here, quiet and comfortable room looking out on vineyards. Owners and their son were the most gracious of hosts. The meals in the evening were delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients. Lots of variety at breakfast. Totally recommend."
"The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area.
At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc.
The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom. The bed was horrible, it creaked and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The pillows were old and flat. Unfortunately we did not get a restful sleep.
Breakfast was good - typical continental with lots of homemade goods.

"The entire staff was congenial and very helpful.
The room was spotless, elegant, and the bed very comfortable. The French doors opened onto a small patio with table and chairs, and a view overlooking the Douro River across to hills of vineyards. The smell of the jasmine in the courtyard permeated the air.
We did not anticipate the welcome glass of port, and really enjoyed it while relaxing in the library bar. In the morning we enjoyed an English breakfast, and there were yogurts, fresh cheeses and fruit, and a huge variety of breads and pastries. One night was not enough! If you can visit this lovely part of Portugal, I highly recommend at least one night here."
