"The hotel was exalent, the staff and the people running it were great, the breakfast was very good, very clean and tidy, all you expect from a very nice run hotel. Definitely be going back again. And there is parking as well, fab"

"We booked a superior double room, which is in theaon building. It was very tatty and in need of painting and updating. Very dated with a lack of plugs near the bed, none near the dressing table to plug in the hairdryer. One usb port. Dirty window dressings. A really old, dirty and damaged devine base. Breakfast was ok at best, not much choice and the mini chocolate muffins were dry or stale. The coffee was absolutely dreadful. The hash browns were oily and also not crisp because they had sweated to death underneath a cover. Scrambled eggs were like rubber. On a plus note the staff were great and the grounds had an amazing swimming pool. It was some and done for us overall and a premier inn is better! "

"Good location between Matlock and Matlock Bath. Parking was fine. Definitely a basic hotel. Rooms very small. Bathroom very dusty. Tea and coffee supplies were minimal. Staff had to be called for using a bell. Nobody on reception when we arrived. We never had breakfast or dinner at the hotel (plenty of places in the town). "

"Bonsall is a beautiful, serene village and Ann's B&B is just splendid. There are two things which are simply amazing- the spacious bathroom and the sumptuous breakfast! Ann served us a delicious veg breakfast that was the best we have ever had!"

"Dog friendly and in good location. Very handy for one night stopover and would use again. Room could do with a bit of deep cleaning/ maintenence in some places, particularly mould around bathroom window frame. "

"The stay at Sheriff Lodge,Matlock was absolutely excellent.Ziz the Propietor goes above and beyond in every aspect.My Partner and I stayed 20th April- 22nd April,the latter being my Birthday. Ziz popped a Birthday Card on the Breakfast Table discreetly with amazing food on offer and excellently cooked wvery time.Her local knowledge was also above and beyond juxtapose her Hospitality and attentiin to all details.
