"Perfect hotel in the heart of Florence. Historic building that has been thoroughly modernized. Great bed, shower/bathroom, staff. Plenty of excellent restaurants within a short walk. Convenient to pretty much everyplace we wanted to go."

"Stayed 3 nights. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Florence, just a short walk from all the main sights (eg. Duomo). We appreciated the simplicity, cleanliness, and charm of the place. The hotel is perfect for those looking for convenience and relaxing atmosphere while in the heart of Florence. Bit of a downside is that it can be noisy if your room is by the staircase and facing the street like ours. Hotel also requires you to leave your room key whenever you go out, which seems odd but didn’t have any issues with it. "

"I came for a week from the US to visit my daughter who's studying in Florence for a semester. Her study abroad advisor recommended the Social Hub. The location was great - walking distance to her school (SRISA), SMN train station, etc. The coffeemaker in the room was a big plus for me; the hot water pot was a nice bonus. We had the buffet breakfast once - delicious. Room was clean. Property was lovely and clean. Staff were courteous and helpful -- called a taxi for me back to the airport which arrived in minutes."

"The minute I/we walked in, we were in awe. Very bright and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable. The view into the garden was breathtaking. The staff, were all genuinely friendly, thoughtful and helpful. The breakfast buffet was perfect, and always plentiful. Endless cups of beverages. The bartenders, in the evening, were helpful to provide the relaxation that came in the favorite drink. The location of Hotel Orto Dell Medici is conveniently out of heavy tourist traffic but close to attractions: San Marcos Museum, The Accademia Gallery - home of the statue of David, and more."
