"I loved everything about the property. Its location is good, easily accessible to several parts of the city. It’s also close to the river and the park. So beautiful to take walks there anytime.

Minutes delay in access on a hot day with luggage after a long journey prevented 5 stars. Be prepared for the electronic keys as not being the best at tech was a little concerning! I thought I was prepared but downloaded the wrong unloc app in advance! A direct link was provided at check in. Perhaps sending this earlier would be helpful. it was unfortunate that the road outside had suffered major environmental damage days earlier so we had major road...

"The hotel was thoroughly enjoyable to stay in. I signed up as a Radisson rewards member on arrival which meant my room was upgraded, so I had a room that overlooked the city. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the hotel had a good breakfast (including gluten free cake and bread). It also had a gym which had good opening times, and a restaurant which was also convenient (though perhaps expensive). Overall I would recommend. "
"City Box is a basic hotel but it's clean and central to Oslo. Some of the fixtures and fittings could use an upgrade, the bed/mattress was a bit basic and creaky and the shower head could have been better, but if you're only resting your head then that's not a huge deal.
You check in with a code (that I didn't have because my email service was being slow), but there are helpful staff on hand if you need help. And all the staff I saw were polite and friendly.
The hotel has a partnership with a few nearby eateries and you can get money off breakfast or dinner, though I didn't use any of them. At first glance they still looked a little pricier than I, as a cheap backpacker, wanted to pay. Maybe I should have looked harder as I did find food prices in Oslo to be high anyway.
The hotel is extremely central in Oslo - 5 minutes walk to the train station - and there are many choices of shopping, eating or visitor attractions close by.
It is a hotel I will look to use again if I return to Oslo."
