Paradox Vancouver

"The Paradox Vancouver was amazing. The staff was especially congenial and helpful. It was enough to point you out to the right direction, they actually escorted you to get there. Upon arrival, we were immediately informed of a room upgrade and found champagne and chocolates waiting in our room. The brand new tv installed the day prior had a volume configuration issue. Once we notified the front desk, a technician was sent up immediately and set about researching the issue which was fixed the next morning. Prior to that, even the cleaning attendant insisted on trying a remote from another room to troubleshoot the problem. Everyone on staff bent over backwards to make the stay excellent and regularly checked in on us. The room itself was lovely - standing tub outside the bathroom, updated modern decor throughout the room (which was more the size of a suite), remote control drapes and shades, complimentary water, and other small niceties that made the stay memorable. I should add that location was within walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops. A special shoutout to Suksham at the front desk for his friendly and professional nature, and Andrew in Concierge. Andrew arranged for all our dinners and cheerfully accommodated changes when our plans changed. This is one of our best hotel vacation stays and it is not only the facilities but the staff that made it so memorable!"

Sandman Signature Vancouver Downtown Hotel

"We have been staying at this Sandman Inn on Georgia St. in Vancouver B.C. for the past at least 25 years. This time, we stayed in a room with a king size bed. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet; you wouldn't have known the hotel was full. We specifically stay at this hotel for the proximity to other businesses, restaurants, Rogers Arena, the waterfront, etc. This was our first time eating at the restaurant downstairs, The Shark Club. The food was delicious and the staff were great! The hotel staff is friendly, kind and beyond helpful. On this specific stay, the hot water in the shower in our room wasn't getting as hot as I like for a shower (it was lukewarm; however, the sink water was hot). The hotel staff were very accommodating, and I ended up getting to take a hot shower after all. They checked the boilers first thing in the morning and were very efficient. The room was spendy, but as my family says "You get what you pay for". I highly recommend this Sandman hotel."

"My favourite hotel in Vancouver! It’s beautiful and the staff are amazing. They are super friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. We were upgraded to a corner room yesterday and given perks through Expedia we didn’t even know were available. We used them for dining credit in the restaurant and the service there was truly 5-star. We won’t stay anywhere else in the city."

"Two markets and a pharmacy across the street made getting snacks and basic needs easily accessible. Several coffee shops and breweries less than a 10 minute walk away. Conviently close to attractions in downtown Vancouver at a budget friendly price. Frequent buses at the door step made going into downtown anytime with only a 10 or 15 minute bus ride or rideshare."
