"We drove around the parking lot at first as it wasn't clear the front desk was inside the restaurant. Upon entry I was greeted and she checked me in quickly, with a smile. I inquired about the restaurant and she said they closed at 9pm but they would still be happy to seat us or package food to go if we were interested in dining with them. The restaurant was a PLEASANT surprise! LOTS of options and fresh salad bar including berries and melon! The last time we were in Tok we had to eat gas station food and unfortunately they didn't have availability. My son had the halibut fingers, huge tenderloins of fish, definitely enough to share, my sister had a burger, they were out of their soup of the day but that wasn't a big surprise since we were eating after 8:30pm and they close at 9pm. We will definitely plan to eat and stay here again! Our server at the restaurant was also extra friendly and accommodating, even let us order something last minute because we changed our mind. Thank you for changing our opinion about Tok! "

"This adorable lodge had very comfortable beds and provided a fan to put in the window so that we could sleep cool, the way we like. The restaurant and the bar are both right next door, easy walking distance. It is private but also right on the way from Wrangell St Elias national Park. The surroundings are beautiful (there is a stunning view from one of the bathrooms) and we had a great time chatting with fellow travelers and local residents alike. They thought of everything, and even provided a hot breakfast with eggs sausage and muffins."

"This is an iconic landmark with historic charm. Sharing bathroom was no big deal since everyone was so nice and became like family. No elevator but there are first floor rooms. Copper Balley shuttle was so convenient!"
