"Swimming pool water was dirty. Room had soiled walls, rusted light fixtures, missing towel hook, broken mirror on closet door, soiled areas on sofa, vents were rusted & old, tripping hazard out in hallway due to a drain cover that appeared to be homemade & sticking up a good 1/2” from the floor, lobby furniture was worn out."

"We had a great stay at Wildwood. The WiFi worked well, the rooms were clean, the pool was fun, the fire pit and fireplace were on and ready for guest, and the staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast had a lot of options (waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, cereal, apples, toast, bagels, yogurt, juice) and was what you’d expect for continental breakfast. We would definitely stay there again!"

"Beware of this hotel. When I booked this hotel, I was informed the hotel offered a free breakfast and it had a hot tub. Free breakfast was main reason I booked here due to traveling on a budget. Hot tub was a bonus. Both were FALSE. No hot tub and no free breakfast. The hotel is connected to a Bennigans and was told because of that they don't offer free breakfast. You can eat at the restaurant for a fee. So, if you are traveling on a budget beware of that fact. Also, we stayed 3 nights, our room was cleaned once. Staff was friendly enough, not very helpful though. Overall very disappointed. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns and were very happy with the stay, not in this case. "

"This hotel is is our favorite in Des Moines. Full of fantastic art and super comfortable! You're going to love the rooms, lounge, and the breakfast. It's perfect for a couple's getaway or professional trip. "

"Great stay. Clean room, great bed, plenty of towels, nice night ight in bathroom. Shower had shampoo/conditioner bottles. Parking is free. Breakfast was typical hotel stuff but plenty of variety. Area was kept clean. Pool & hot tub were very nice too."
