They are currently renovating so I am sure when it is finished it will be very good. People were very nice. We loved the northwoods/cabin decor. Again it in repair while we were there so the price was very good. Good safe location. Closer to Urbandale than Johnston...which was a plus for us. Cute bar!!! That was a plus since we got in late. Very nice free breakfast. Room was clean and great shower pressure.

Check in was fast and clerk was right on top of it. Only thing poor in the whole stay was our room wall behind the bed was the hall way to the parking lot and the door would make a very prominent bang when it shut... Not so good when your sleeping at 2 am ... But room was clean bathroom room took a little bit of work to shut . Shower was great. Breakfast was well done and hostess was busy keeping it full.

The space is rustic and well kept! The pool was closed but we had gotten a spacious room with a hot tub which was amazing and perfect for a desired getaway for our 29th wedding anniversary. What impressed me most is how the staff handled conflict. There were jarring noises and jumping in the room above us, so much so that our ceiling lights clattered and banged scaring both of us awake at almost midnight. The staff said we could switch rooms but that they would see first if they could quiet the noises. The rest of t he night was quiet and uneventful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would come again!
