Uptown - Upper Duval Hotels near Key West

"I stopped by the office around 1:00 pm; Tamika got me checked in and set up my parking pass early, so all I had to do was pick up my room key when my room was ready at 4:00 pm. Room was pleasant, clean and comfortable; A/C worked very well. Also, very impressed with the Starbucks coffee machine!"

"Was looking for a place to stay while in town for the powerboat race. The Douglas House fit the bill perfect perfectly. Although it is just off Duval it is in a quieter part of the neighborhood. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable, and the AC was quiet and worked well. There is a lovely pool area (where I saw mostly couples) and also a small veranda outside each room with seating area to relax. I forgot that Key West is crawling with chickens and roosters, and although they will make themselves known, there were not too many of them near the Douglas House, which made things a bit more quiet in the morning. Special thanks to Hamsi who was helpful and always pleasant."

"Room was nice especially considering the age of the house. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Lobster pizza at the attached bar was awesome! On the quiet end of Duval street so it was very relaxing when we wanted it to be, but we would walk to the other end to explore, drink, eat etc. "

"Keep in mind it’s a motel! Staff were very friendly and the place was clean, as was the bathroom. Never entertained the two pools they have but people seemed to enjoy them. I think my only don’t is the property owns a bar next door and if your room is next to it - it can be quite noisy. Otherwise if ya not looking for all the fancy frills go for it, I’d stay again. They accommodate parking too, we rented a golf cart and it was no problem parking on the property. Enjoy!"

"The rooms were beautiful and the views phenomenal! I loved being able to pick the vibe of pool setting, it was honestly a game changer. Only down side was having the bar and kitchen so far away from the rest of the pools. Lotion and water at every pool and bathrooms available. Menu was small but so we chose not to eat there. Staff was great and super friendly. Definitely worth it. "
