"I appreciated having the elevator. My sisters and I are seniors and have mobility issues with climbing stairs. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and the staff woman was so helpful. She was helping several who were making waffles and she kept the area very clean. The setting at this hotel is beautiful! It's right on the shore of Lake Superior and there is also a little river close to the property. It was close to the Porcupine Mtn Park also. We will stop there again."

"Decent hotel within walking distance of food, boat tours. Close to hiking trails. The hot tub is one of the best for strong jets I have ever used!! Nice after hiking long days. My only complaint was our room smelled a bit musty. When I booked I stated I needed a ground floor room as there is no elevator and we were traveling with someone in a wheelchair, I called an hour before checking in to confirm this and they had us on the 2nd floor but they said they would figure it out for us and upon checking in they were able to move us. Nice staff and would stay again!"

"We always book at Holiday in express because my husband loves the biscuits and gravy. Wonderful and consistent every time. He was so disappointed that there were no biscuits and gravy at this HI Express. Also, any time I have booked thru Expedia the staff has always given my my rewards points. The girl at the front desk told me I could try but most likely would not get them. Not helpful at all."
