"Be aware that there is clearly a big renovation project taking place. Our room had clearly had the room done but the bathroom, although spotless, was old. Our children’s room was the opposite. The two rooms although sold at the same price were entirely different sizes and one of the rooms had obviously been split from its neighbour with a bit of cardboard the soundproofing was so poor. It’s a beautiful old building so we know it won’t be perfect. It has loads of personality, is in a fab location, is spotless throughout and the breakfast was great. It’s perfect for a night but just not convinced it is 4*."

"Was overall excellent, just little points , couple tiny holes in net curtain on window, shower head wouldn't angle downwards , but was great strong shower over bath not walk in , bit of an older style , toilet roll not best quality bit rough , but soap and gel amazing smell, bed was comfy, single beds moved about a bit on wheels. Pool was good, good length, warm , jacuzzi could have been a little hotter but was nice . Changing rooms had everything, hairdryers , tongs and spin dryer for costumes .Only no private changing cubicles , I used the toilet. Breakfast really good, hash browns were especially nice . Staff were really friendly and helpful, lovely quality hotel, and staff add to that quality. We would recommend and plan another visit . Great grounds too , park like ."

"Very disappointing, rooms smelt stale, bathroom covered in stains. Arrived at 5 :30 told the kids were allowed to use the pool. Asked reception what time can we go in the morning. Was told 7am, the signs said different so double checked with the same receptionist and was assured with it being Easter they can go in at 7. So got up early and sorted to be turned away. Very disappointed with reception. "

"Perfect hotel, definitely we be back there"

"Lovely hotel, great spa facilities, lovely room, with some noise as the bottles from nearby bars and restaurants are emptied when your room is at the back of the hotel. You do have to pay extra at the hotel when using the spa facilities if your booking is through Expedia. This is £40 per day, which is not made obvious at all. Parking is on the street, of £30 per day at the hotel. But street parking along the Crescent is free. "

"I arrived to a shabby run down hotel which charges over £7 for parking (not made clear when booking). Whilst asking about this another guest at reception was asking for her room to be cleaned, another asking for a shower mat. I decided I did not want to stay in a dirty room, paying more than expected and have been advised I can be refunded. I went to another hotel instead. "

"Beautiful hotel. Stayed one night but wanted more. The staff were great. Thanks Oscar for looking after us. Room is clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was worth it. "
