"Our family loved the pool, food and Game Center. Lovely hotel with great distance to everything."

Maui Seaside Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"When we first pulled up, I definitely noticed this was a budget hotel. At first, I didn’t even wanna stay there. But after meeting the staff and seeing their north renovated suites I fell in love with it. The staff is the most amazing friendly people. It’s centrally located from everything that we wanted to do. It was perfect."

Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

"We love the hotel but flight was very bad and we paid too much. Also we have to pay for our carryons."

Aston Kaanapali Shores
10/10 Excellent
"We loved this property. Right on the beach, two pools and a fabulous restaurant on-site. Also, the food truck park was right across the street. We had one problem and that was that the air conditioning was not working in the one bedroom, making it hard to sleep. They did give me back my resort fee for the 5 days we stayed. I'm sure it is something that will definitely get fixed. Would definitely stay at this property again."

"Great little resort in Kanapalli that sits in the best beach. Very centrally located and walkable to Whalers Village, restaurants and all the resorts. Very nice stay and staff was very nice. I will definitely go back again"

Fairmont Kea Lani Maui
8/10 Good
"Overall great experience. I'll share the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: Some of the best things about the hotel were the people, location, breakfast, and beach. The people were great, everyone seemed to enjoy their position and function on the property. I don't recall encountering any bad attitudes from the staff. The breakfast was awesome, much better than expected for sure. Lots of options and a decent rotation of items. The location was great, especially because of the complimentary shuttle. The Shops are nearby and it has most of the things that you'd want; very convenient. Last but not least, the beach was great. They really made it easy to enjoy it, by having furniture, towels, cold drinking water, a rinse station, and sunscreen. Well thought out. The bad: My wife and I were not a fan of the statues of busty topless mermaids and the painting of a busty topless woman (both showing excessive details, like nipples) near the lobby. I'm not sure why families (namely children) need to see topless female figures, quite distasteful. The ugly: A couple malfunctioning items were discovered, like our tub spout and the ceiling fan light switch. Both are very noticeable. Also, the tub spout was non-obvious to operate, but once we figured it out, the water barely drained. Based on the above, I'd recommend the place to others. I'd just warn them about the topless art in the lobby."

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"I thought I had stayed in nice hotels before, but this was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The main pool was so large that it never felt crowded, it was the perfect temperature, and I loved that the deep end went to nine feet. We didn’t use the other pool that was geared mostly to children since we are child-free, but it looked really awesome for families with all of the slides. The pools at the next resort which we also had access to were very cool - different levels and depths, connected by a series of waterfalls and stairs. And we really appreciated that there was both an adults only and a family hot tub. The towel system was great, the beach was really nice. We thought the African penguins and parrots in the lobby were really neat, and a quirky thing we thought was really practical was the pressure- or motion-activated lights at the bottom of the bed frame that came on if you got up in the middle of the night. The room also had a double sink, so my husband and I did not have to share, which was nice. The couch in the room was a little too firm and the balcony was a little small. I would have also liked to have hooks on the balcony to hang up wet swimwear and towels to dry. However, these were all very minor preferences, and I would rate this hotel a 10/10 any day."
