"Likely the best value for money of any place I've stayed since the start of the pandemic. It is a simple hotel - small rooms, outdoor parking, no particular view (parking lot of the neighbouring McDonald's!). But it is clean and very affordable, the bed was comfortable, everything worked (shower, heating system). It's in a downtown area, so lots of boutique restaurants, bars, etc., and it's very close to Marina Park greenspace and boat slips. We had breakfast included - they give you the typical scrambled eggs and sausage for hot with some cereals and muffins for cold; again, not fancy but definitely serviceable. It is newly renovated, so everything is fresh and clean. This is not a spa hotel, there's no waterslide for the kids.... but if all you want is a place to sleep for a night (or a few nights), this is a great choice. Not sure what you'd do without a car - Thunder Bay doesn't have a great public transit system - but if you are in that situation, the hotel is only a block away from the main north-end bus terminal, so it should be pretty easy to get around."
