Nice place for a stopover on our road trip to Toronto. Clean with comfy bed. I love that they have a welcome gift for my dog. I just wish they had a cafe for breakfast.

We chose The Voy because of its location (halfway to our destination) and because it was pet friendly. The rooms were very comfortable, and it had a welcome basket for the dog, with dog treats and blankets to use during our stay. The bathroom was a bit retro and funky with pristine a yellow sink and tub!! The water pressure in the shower was amazing (better than in larger city hotels). There was lots of grass for dog walking, but the neighborhood itself doesn’t have many sidewalks. We had dinner at the restaurant beside the motel, and the food was delicious!

I like that it is in a little complex with a convenience store and a restaurant, etc. They were very welcoming to our dog and left a dog welcoming basket. I never saw that before. One big disappointment is that it was very dark inside. There was no overhead light and only one bedside lamp. That made it kind of hard to function since we are both readers and we use our laptops.

Bed is super comfortable, room is spacious and clean, towels thick. We think more attention could be spent on the details: garbage picked up outside, clean windows, drapes fully attached, and soap/shampoo (there was none). The bathroom, while retro pink, compact and low had an unlined toilet tank that dripped water (threw towel on floor) and the tub needs recaulking.
