Samas cottages was a great place to stay in Ubud. It was tucked away from the main street but easy walking distance to the main street to all the restaurants. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was great and served on our veranda in the mornings. The villa was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Pool area was nice. Great that we were able to swim in the evenings after a busy day. Would recommend this as a great value place to stay. Would stay here again if in Ubud.

Great property with beautiful rooms! The location is fantastic and within walking distance of lots of excellent shops and restaurants. My only complaint was that the pillows were very hard, so I ended up sleeping on my travel pillow. Hopefully they’ll upgrade to something softer. Otherwise, I had an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great location but cottages are a walk back from the hustle and bustle so quiet and romantic. Breakfast served on your patio was a bonus. Mosquito nets and mosquito coils provided which was clutch during rainy season. Central to everything but still private.

Good location for centre Ubud

I really enjoyed my recent stay at Sama’s cottages Pros Patio with table chairs Lovely gardens Pool is sunny but chairs are also shaded / sunny so you don’t feel like you are baking in the sun Staff very pleasant especially Koyo who looked after me and has worked there many years Air con good close to centre Ubud so great for walking Very convenient location Good choice and of local eateries No plastic bottles used for water Wifi was good Quiet Cons No later checkout Basic yet nice breakfast choices Small loud fridge The towels look and feel 10 years old

Satisfactory stay, here are key points. Resort's Staff : extremely polite and helpful. Resorts location : very convenient. Breakfast : not so good but plenty of food options around, just few meters away. Lush green property hence mosquitos are around but the hotel staff everything possible to keep them away. Internet was an issue, not good coverage in the rooms which are located at some distance from the reception area. Overall, satisfactory experience, full marks to the hotel staff.

Lovely accommodation and small resort but unfortunately we didn't get to experience what Ubud had to offer as my son was unwell. We chose the accommodation as it was convenient to access the Monkey Sanctuary, palace, market etc but the streets outside are extremely busy. The pharmacy was a few doors away which was helpful. There was also a closely located yoga facility and cooking school.
