"Hotel was nice until we had a domestic situation. The front of the house clerk interjected herself into things and made it worse. My son was in need of help and instead of doing the right thing and asking him to vacate the property so he had no choice but to leave safely with his family she chose to tell him and his drunk counterpart we were attempting to protect him from that he could stay on the property. My son is now down there with a drunk idiot that can not drive, no place to stay hanging out at a motel in a city he does not live in. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. This behavior is absolutely disparaging and digusting. The desk clerk to seriously be ashamed of herself for involving herself in someone’s family issues when a MOTHER is trying to protect her child."
"The porch and outdoor furniture were noticeably unclean. The yard looked like it hadn’t been swept in several days, and the seating areas were dirty.
Breakfast was another issue, which was especially disappointing considering this was a bed‑and‑breakfast and I stayed for two days. On the first morning, I went to check on breakfast around 9:25 a.m. and was told it was served at 9. There was no indication that I needed to be there exactly at 9 a.m. or that breakfast would not be available afterward.
The man at the door questioned me abruptly — “You staying here? Which room you staying in?” — which made me uncomfortable. A barefoot woman, who I assume also worked there, added, “Sorry, no breakfast, you should have come at 9,” even though it wasn’t even 9:30 yet.
The next day, I didn’t return for breakfast. As I was leaving, I saw the same man. He looked at me and said, “You miss breakfast again,” almost as if he was taunting me. I smiled and walked away. He then asked, “You’re leaving?” I nodded, and he replied, “Come back again. Hope you enjoyed your stay.”The entire experience left me disappointed."
"Rick provides an excellent breakfast and some great conversation. Definitely better than the regular boring hotel.
The parking lot is small, so maybe bring a midsize or compact vehicle vs a full size crew cab truck."
