"Very cute historic hotel built in 1879, complete with all the creaky floors, wavy window glass, wooden veranda/porch, antique furniture, amazing views, etc that only these grand hotels can provide.
I LOVED sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch looking toward the mountains. The elevator, also original, was a tad "creepy" (in a joking way) but very interesting to ride on too.
The beds were just a little too soft for me but were still comfortable enough to get a decent nights sleep. The shower pressure was quite good.
The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and bar were all super friendly and informative. I would absolutely stay here again."
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was like going back in time. The historical decor, the spacious lobby, wide porches, fantastic scenery, were all magnificent.
I felt the safest there, than at any other hotels I have ever stayed at.
The 10:00 am. tour, starting at the grandather clock, was well worth it.
Thank you Marvin, for suggesting it.
I want to go back again because, like Paris, there is so much to see and embrace.
I'd love to see the hotel decorated for Christmas. I'll have to take a ride up there then and experience more.
Thanks to the parking attendants, front desk clerks, waiters, cleaning staff, and our tour guide."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lincoln East - White Mountains by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Great place close to everything bed was comfortable was clean the biggest plus is the staff especially Alex the desk staff was very friendly and very helpful!! He is what service is all about!! But everyone was friendly thank you!!"
"When you book a room, make sure to check if you are staying in the annex building because you have to cross to the other side of the road to get to the main building. If you use their pool, they don’t have a dressing room or shower room. They don’t have a water station or complimentary bottled water. If you want a nice picture of the mountain, go to the main building, not the annex building, because all you will see is the main building and the parked cars; however, you can still see the mountain. I only liked the location because it is very close to Flume Gorge."
