"The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."

"The food was terrible especially dinner set for 6000yen. So called Wagyu was tiny and tasted like a trash. We both stew up having just a bite. The room and onsen were good but it was not worth considering the quality of the food."

"Unbelievable cost performance! The facility is very clean and quiet in night for sound sleep. The level of cleanliness is like typical tidy women can accept it. "

"The traditional Japanese hotel is so spacious that it surprises us the minute we walked in. It has a full living area, a bedroom and a long patio that provides excellent view to the back yard. It has a private indoor hot spring tub and a private outdoor onsen. The back yard lead to hotel garden area which has all kinds of beautiful flowers and plan. Mountain is just next to the backyard. The ambience was excellent. A simple traditional Japanese breakfast was provided for free a request."

"The hot springs were really good.
The hotel itself seemed a little dated.
The restaurant was only available if you reserved in advance. The other restaurant/bar was closed. "

"The washlet bidet was not working. No change of room because of this issue. It is 15 minutes far which is hard to travel in Summer especially august.
But otherwise, the stay and the people were pleasant. I loved the 温泉! "

"I had booked this hotel thinking it was standard, but it was Japanese style: tatami floor, floor mattress, and no private bathroom (shower). The room did have a toilet, sink, closets, tv, electrical kettle, etc… yet despite not having my own shower was not a big deal. They offer bathhouse: very clean, spacious, with multiple pools (hot water) cold tub, sauna and even an outdoors onsen! Overlooking the river! Fall asleep sleep to a running river, and waking up to it was so soothing. The staff was friendly and helpful, overall i had a fantastic stay and would book again. "
"Worried about erosion leading down to the ocean, but other then that staying this location was the best part of my trip. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing!!"
