"Heater was adequate. March is still cool. Restaurant for breakfast buffet was comparable to other 4 stars hotels and not crowded. Medium size hotel with fair room prices. Madrid Centro location was ideal for walking everywhere and everything I needed was available at one store or shop or restaurant/tapas bar nearby. When I wandered too far (lost amidst the meandering streets), taxis were usually nearby and fairly priced."

"I highly recommend you go up to the roof top terrace to see the view (free for hotel guests). Also, the breakfast is really good. Such a great way to start the day before exploring the city. I strongly suggest choosing this option when you book. "

"Booked a deluxe double, unfortunately it was lacking anything which made it deluxe. The room felt like it was in the basement, the window overlooked a rather grotty space between buildings, almost no natural light in the room. The room itself was very small, with nowhere to store luggage and only a small wardrobe with four hangers. The bathroom door is glass, so if bathroom privacy is your thing you'll be in for a fright! But if don't mind seeing or been seen on the toilet, then all will be well (and everything can be heard through said glass door!). The room was clean, the bed comfy and the curtains did make the room dark. The bathroom was ok, with a decent shower. Walls not the most sound proofed... Breakfast was basic. Scrambled "eggs" and bacon the only hot food. Pastries, donuts, pancakes, meat, cheese, bread. All help yourself. The hotel location is excellent. Restaurants and bars right outside. Two minutes walk to the metro and Gran Via. Opera and Plaza Mayor less than 10 minutes walk. An OK hotel, but certainly not a 4* experience (more like 2 to 3). All the staff were fine, very courteous and helpful. One thing to beware (and this isn't a hotel issue), my taxi from the airport dropped me up on Gran Via - so a shortish walk to the hotel. "

"We wouldn’t stay here again - it has potential but two things really stood out that people should be aware of when booking. Notice that no one mentions the beds being comfortable in their reviews…. that’s because they aren’t. The other thing is that it smells like a Hollister store. And just like a Hollister store, they use way too much fragrance that it’s overwhelming, to the point we’d get a headache if we were in the elevator lobby too long so we’d run through and take the stairs to avoid lingering. We smelled the scent blocks away from the hotel thinking it was another store with the same smell, nope, it was us covered in it. They asked for feedback after our first night and we told them this and they did nothing to change it the next 3 days. The hotel is beautiful, great location, the staff was friendly and helpful at check in, the rooftop bar is nice, but don’t be drawn by the rooftop pool picture as your reason to book here unless that’s your main reason. At check out, they literally asked us to give them a 10 star rating and use their names so they’ll get money. I just think that’s unethical and reviews should be honest so travelers know what they are booking. They even handed me a card that asks for a 10 star review…"
