"We had a lovely stay, the place was nice, it was close to some lovely walks on the beach and in nature parks. We liked our hot tub but it was just a tad too hot and it wouldn’t cool down with the controls, we even left the top open and it stayed at 40 degrees, we couldn’t stay in for very long. The shower was either boiling or freezing but we still enjoyed and can’t wait to go back some day :)"

"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. Don't wear sliders on your feet when trying to do the fire or else you will slip on the mud which is hilarious to a teenager btw. Hot tub takes about 4 hours to...

"Don't stay here, pay a bit more and go somewhere that isn't a dump and doubles it's prices in the school holidays. A £60 room (I learned this after our stay) cost us £120. The room really wasn't good at all. A window cracked from top to bottom, a toilet roll dispenser hanging off the wall barely held in place by the end of a screw, an inspection hole next to the toilet with a cover that kept falling off, curtains that were so long they filled the floor space between the window and the bed and caused me to trip on them multiple times, there was small brown splashes of something on the wall above the toilet, the shower was barely powerful enough to have a shower under; it was like being drippen on...and there's more. Suffice to say, for £50 I would have thought 'fair enough, you get what you pay for' but for the price we paid, do not bother. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. Only saving grace: the lady at the front desk was very nice and understanding."

"Jess and the team were very welcoming as usual the place was spotless. Thank God for the air-conditioning as it was really hot outside. Only thing I would say that could do with a update is the mini fridge just outdated. We loved or stay and will be back again best place in liverpool. Also thanks to the team for the lovely card and chocolate it went down a treat."

"The hotel is very dark, carpet is wearing thin on the staircase, the room was dark and gloomy could not see to get ready no natural daylight in the room we were allocated, the window faced a tunnel of buildings - we mentioned this to the reception staff asked if an extra lamp could be put in the room? nothing came. The room was not cleaned while we were there either on the Sunday morning we went for breakfast (9/9.15am) and put the relevant door hanger on the outside of the door, when we came back from breakfast it was still there, we left in hanging on the door whilst we were out during the day, when came back early evening it was still there - these rooms are not cheap.Some staff were polite and friendly others not so at breakfast we had to pay there was no please and thank you just "you need to pay now" no receipt was offered or given Bar staff on the Saturday evening evening were friendly however when it closed they advised that the reception bar was still open - but there were no staff manning this bar - I remember the last time we stayed here this happened then also. We have stayed at this hotel many many times over the last 20 years unfortunately have to say this will probably be the last. Upon check out we were never asked if everything was ok during the stay, we wanted to pay cash for the room however they had taken the balance off the card which was swiped at check in - but were never advised this was going to be the case at check in"
