"We have stayed at The Shalimar Hotel, every year for last at least 30 years now, as it was good for all the amenities and staff were very friendly and looked after us very well! This time, there were too many issues, which I have submitted to the hotel on their feedback firm and I was very verbal too with complaints. Not staying on our return to Mumbai, which we had booked with Expedia, and cancelled it today. "

"This really is not a three-star hotel. We stayed here many years ago, and it was good. One elevator was broken and repairs brought dirt and dust all over the place. "

"The property is close to metro station and you can easily get transport to tourist places. But that's the only perks of this place. The rooms are super small and the cleanliness is just for the sake. The staff is helpful (the hotel cleaning staff) but the staff at reception is as much rude and unprofessional. If your only aim is to doze off and freshen up then this is fine."

"The hotel behind Saifee Hospital. A side entrance a bit difficult to locate. No elevators..one has to climb 2sets of stairs/2x21=42 straight steps!!! Few rooms smelled high humidity.. the whole inside walls was tiled with what looks like rcream bricks and outline done with green marble. Positive:
Great location near shops, train station, walkable to Central Mumbai area, good big bed deluxe big room, clean.
Negative:
They don't provide toilet paper ! noisy employees all night in the corridor...

"This hôtel is not comfy.
We booked for 3 rooms. But the room are so tiny that we forced them to open an other room. Whithout Windows so you feel like suffocatinng. Same for the toilets.
The hygiène is not there.
And most important the area is awful. "

"Worst hotel I have ever been to! They give us a stinking room. In the next room construction was going on and there were drill noises. Then when we asked them to change the room, they refused to do so. We had to find another hotel for our stay and we left the hotel "

"The room was decent sized. However there was water everywhere as the ice melted in the fridge and spread all over. We noticed this as soon as we got in the room. So this shows that there was no prior check done before providing the keys. After 3-4 attempts they somehow removed the water from fridge but the fridge did not work at all. My parents are old and I couldn’t keep their medication in the fridge. We spent at least 1 hr in this mess.
I had given them clear instructions on the breakfast...

"Good location for exploring South Mumbai. Even though shower & toilet facilities are separate, they are clean with good water pressure in showers & hot water. Rooms are spacious and have tv. There is a cook who makes a good cup of chai. WiFi needs a new code every day and does not always work."

"I travel a lot for both work and leisure. I can honestly this was one of my favorite hotels, ever that i've staying in. It made my stay in Mumbai so memorable, from the rooms, and impecabbleservice in every department of the hotel. Already planning my trip again to stay at your property. Wow!"
"Terrible experience. The mattress provided by the hotel staff was infested with roaches, which was absolutely unacceptable. The elevator button for the 8th floor was not functioning, forcing us to go to the 9th floor and carry our heavy luggage down the staircase every single time. Despite our struggles, no staff member offered any assistance. Additionally, there were no bathmats in the washroom, and when we asked, the staff suggested using towels as a substitute, which was highly unprofessional. Overall, it was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, and I would never recommend this place to anyone."
