We had a one night stay in the hotel, we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. The hotel is an old build but is very clean, the room was huge with a double bed and bunk beds. Bedding was fresh and clean, bathroom clean and the water lovely and hot with lots of fresh towels. Overall a great stay, will definitely book again. Highly recommend if your in Torquay

Ok if you like hostels

Stayed here only because it’s close to where I was going. Check in wasn’t the most friendliest was even told to come back as he was going off to pray. Music and what seemed like parties were going on through the night! Cold in the room. Where was the heating? Had to leave early and checked out a day early due to private matter and was quite happy to get out of there with the party bus next to my room. The hotel refused to give back money for the night I have payed for. I’m sure the hotel is a place for ex prisoners staying

Got given a room that hadn't been Cleaned initially. Then another room was given but was very tired as is the whole hotel. I waasnt expecting much for the price i paid however a spruce up is badly needed

On arrival the receptionist was lovely, gave us an upgrade and late checkout, however when we travelled through the hotel we noticed a damp musty smell, then when we enered the room it smelt of wet dog, there was also a dog poo bag on the outter window ledge. The beds were of a very wobbly sructure, that I just wouldn't of been comfortable to sleep in without the treat of collapse. We decided to leave. On our way back down to the reception, the receptionist was laying across the sofas in the dining area. The reception was unmanned. We booked a hotel close by and stayed there instead.

On booking this hotel, The pictures are very misleading! There is no dining room that serves food, the breakfast (Old fruit, stale cereal warm yogurts, and boiled eggs left in a metal tin!) was not edible the milk was stringy and thick. No bar area no staff the locking system for the rooms where a concern for me due to my belongings being left in there with codes being handed out by someone at the front desk. The rooms were dirty the bedding was also dirty. The hotel in itself was very dirty it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We were then told by who we only assume is a receptionist that the hotel was in fact being used for immigrants, people who have been released from prison, and homeless people. The hostel had all kinds of people coming in and out at all times of the night and it absolutely stunk of cannabis. I am absolutely disgusted with this information, I had my 10 year daughter with me and they did not disclose any of this on booking the room. This hostel should not be allowed to rent rooms out to the public at a cost or even at all! I want a full refund compensation for the situation and unsafe conditions the hotel put me through. This needs to be removed from any booking platform.

Room in good condition and clean, but needs some tlc. But it did what it said on the tin. And I paid £25 for a double room for the night for 2. I was dreading the worse. I got what i paid for and was relieved it was clean and made a good stop for the night.

Terrible hotel with no staff,service or breakfast

I don't normally write reviews but feel the need here to protect others. The buildings is shabby, unloved, everywhere you look paint, wallpaper, cleaning is required. The room service didn't exist. There we no staff onsite. Promised breakfast no breakfast!! It's incredible hotels this bad exist in the UK. You have been warned!!!

Good size family room

We only used this as a crash pad while visiting family over Xmas, it did the job nicely! Very friendly check in staff who helped carry our bags to the room, large family room, nice powerful shower, very basic breakfast but can't complain for the price.

Great Value Hotel located not too far from town

We booked Last minuet for 3 nights and were just looking for value for money with 24 hour check in and Free Parking. Overall we were very happy with our stay Parking was free But fairly limited so we had to park on a nearby road on our first night. Town was about a 20-30 minuet walk (quite hilly) with a little pub and various bakeries on route. We were out most of the time but the room was comfortable and spacious. There was also a lounge area with games/books. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel but it looked like a continental was offered. Manager was very friendly and polite. Would deffinatly stay again for a longer visit.

staff are fine. but cleanliness lets it down. being was not clean, stains on duvet cover and the duvet itself was dirty and a large blood stains it. paint was splashed in bath on radiators, and the floor. exterior was poor and uninviting. won't be using again.

Horrible property - old, musty and creaky. Initially put into a room with dirty sheets, rubbish in bins and dirty toilet 😟. Manager apologised profusely and moved us to another room. He also brought an extra heater because the room was quite chilly- he was helpful but has a terrible property to manage. Felt a bit unsafe because of the random young men who silently appeared…apparently they were employees (no uniform or staff identification), really scary. Didn’t like the keypad operated door …didn’t feel safe. Sorry, I don’t like giving negative reviews but this hotel was not good.

Me and my little family were sxcited to come and stay here. We arrived an hour after the check in time given for the staff to then ask us another 45 mins as the room hasnt been cleaned. We werent happy about this as we were tired and wanted to get into the room to relax. The "double bed" in the room was the smallest double bed ive seen. The shower hot water took a long time to heat up for a shower in the morning. Some guests came back around 10pm the night we stayed and were up talking nd laughing very loudly until midnight, so me and my partner didnt get to sleep until past that. It seems the guest also brought more people into their room as it got louder and louder with no respect for other guests staying and sleeping at that time. There was a number to message which we did with our concerns in these people staying next to us, but we got no answer and no follow up message in the morning. We originally booked 2 nights there but decided to leave and not stay another night due to the bad experience we have had here. Someone should be manning the desk down stairs, especially if people are going to start bringing in randoms into their room and keep everyone up till gone midnight. We arent happy at all with this hotel and our stay. So please aviod this hotel! The pictures are nothing like the actual rooms either!!

This is a place to AVOID it’s dirty smells things broken mould in rooms holes in doors the staff are very rude chipped glass at breakfast when asked if I left for a refund told no as payment went through other people that checked in checked straight back out too the place should not be on any booking sites and they forgot to tell you about the homeless people they have in the hotel STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
