Three Arch Bay Hotels near Laguna Beach

"This hotel seems really new, well maintained, and has everything you need. The location was good for our needs, but our room faced the 55 freeway, which we heard all night long. That is my only complaint! Maybe because we live in the mountains, and all we hear at night is the wind blowing in the trees, and the occasional coyote! The staff were all very nice, the dinner we ordered from the restaurant was surprisingly good. Parking was close to the hotel and I appreciate the free parking! Excellent value for the price."

"Regarding the rooms, I liked the building with the gym. The "regular King Suite" in the building where the front desk is, was smaller than the pictures and a found it stuffy. However, the front desk was very accommodating and made sure we got into a room we were comfortable in. That was a double queen room in the next building. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, microwave and a sink to do dishes. It really met our needs on this trip. "

"This was the worst stay I’ve ever had there. Definitely need to keep the rooms and balconies clean and fix the water stains from the broken a/c and heater that didn’t work in my room"

"I initially booked one night in a two-queen suite via Hotels.com. The following evening, I called at 9 PM to extend my stay. Though my original room wasn’t available, the receptionist assured me that I could move rooms the next day and that I could stay in my current room until the new one was ready—no need to leave the hotel. The next day, the receptionist on duty (the manager) denied this arrangement ever existed, and I was told to leave. Only after I insisted they confirm with the previous staff did they ‘let it slip this time,’ implying I was being dishonest. I felt disrespected and let down by the inconsistency in service and tone. The second room I booked was an ocean view only to find it out it was partial ocean view and my request to change the room was denied by the same manager. I would have expected more professionalism and accommodation from a hotel manager! Breakfast options are basic, prepackaged pastries were disappointing. "

"Perfect stay"

"Staff was great, value was excellent, pool area was awesome, the pool did need a skim but was clean. The room was one of the nicest set up with a walk in shower which i prefer over a tub. Parking was easy. I got 20% discount from the Denny's which was 2 doors down, easy safe walk. Costco is near and a few parks nearby."

"After COVID the hotel rates increased dramatically based on the few improvements to the rooms~ The bathtubs still have no mats in the tubs so they're very slippery~ Bathroom flooring always seems dirty~ The bed coverings are 2 sheets and a thin blanket, we froze both nights! But it's one individual in particular, Kevin, who is very matter of fact and never friendly or helpful! I've been staying at LHL several times a year for the last 10 years and every front desk agent is helpful and friendly, all but Kevin! It was 2 years ago, when I booked through the hotel directly, tgat I was charged a "BED TAX" which resulted in another $100 being added to my bill! I questioned it and Kevin became argumentative and couldn't explain what this tax was for and why isn't it mentioned on their website! That's when I stopped staying there~"
