As the northernmost lookout point on the South Rim and the most panoramic features the closest views of the Colorado River far below the point. It features unobstructed views up and down the river gorge.
Yavapai Point is also the most popular spot to watch the sunset which is why this vista point inspires so many photographers and artists to capture its essence of beauty. It features an abundance of distant butte formations of differing shapes with a multitude of color that bombard the eye senses in all directions. At an elevation of 7062 feet, it is one of the highest points at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
