Hotels near The Wave Waterpark

"We were in San Diego for a family wedding and though it was a bit further away from most of our intended destinations, it turned out to be one of the best stays I’ve ever had at a hotel. I chose the Ayres Hotel Vista/Carlsbad based on the reviews and I’m glad I did. This particular site is only 6 years new, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, on-site parking and WiFi is free and the daily complimentary cooked-to order omelets was a really nice bonus amenity. The double queen bed room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the shower/tub was probably one of the widest I’ve seen for a hotel room this sized. Just about everything was perfect with our stay and I would not hesitate to book another stay there if I’m ever back in the area."

"We were very pleased with our stay. Kids loved the pool and our room offered all the comforts of home. Staff was very friendly and if we had questions the text messaging feature helped us get quick answers. We were also notified of special events and check out procedures via text to keep us informed at all times. "

"Clean room, clean bathroom, room is spacious and room layout is nice. Quiet area so no noise from traffic. Only noise I heard was from person above me walking around on the 3rd floor. The property is close to places to eat where you could walk in about 7 minutes. I’d say overall I liked my stay. The only real negative I’d say was that they charge you $7 for parking. I have no idea why they would charge this. I think it’s absurd. The parking is an open lot and there’s plenty of parking. When booking this was never mentioned and the total when booking the room had said taxes and fees included. I guess not all fees are included…. There are properties in the surrounding area that are priced similarly and have similar high ratings that do not charge for parking. "

"Odd smell when entering lobby every time, carpet in room was very dirty, room needs updating, breakfasts were good with good options. Staff was very friendly. Transient problem in the area."
