"This was our second time staying at the Colonial Hotel and it just keeps getting better. You can’t beat the location and with the addition of the outdoor pool and food/bar service the amenities are exceptional. Our suite was spectacular. Big, clean and comfortable. This won’t be our last stay here! We will be back…and probably sooner than later."

"We had a great visit over all. The grounds and gardens were lovely and well kept and the beach access and pool were wonderful. The interior of the buildings is ready for an update but service was great. We had booked a standard room in the pine lodge. It was not as clean or spacious as hoped and had only black out blinds on a very dirty window. The hairdryer and Keurig coffee machine didn’t work. We were able to move across the hall to the ‘deluxe’ room which had a larger fridge, working appliances and a lovely patio over looking the greens. I would highly recommend this option over the front facing rooms with no balcony or patio. The second floor room was perfect for my mom as there were no stairs to walk as there were in other areas. Breakfast buffet was okay- think diner more than resort breakfast but it hit the spot. Overall we enjoyed the facilities and access to the lake was wonderful."
