"We stayed at this property based on the chain’s reputation and our previous stays at other locations. However, it was not up to the company’s usual standards. We found it to be subpar lodging at a premium price. While the front desk clerk was friendly and professional, the bed and linens comfortable, the property quiet, overall it was shabby and in disrepair, especially the room itself. Examples include the bathroom having no toilet paper roll holder, a terribly cracked sink with no plug, while the semi-repainted, ratty looking tub had a broken plug. None of three ice machines we checked were functional. The TV remote was very difficult to turn on and impossible to turn off, so we had to ask the clerk for a replacement which she had my husband retrieve from an empty guest room. The room’s door was also tricky to latch securely. Overall, we do not plan stay there again and will certainly take the time to check guest reviews for any other future Choice Hotel more thoroughly. Our overall stay at this property was better than many reviews we later read, but failed to meet our expectations for the price or the chain’s reputation. The place could greatly be improved with minimal effort and expense. Then it would be worth consideration for future guests to more likely have much better stays."
