Bogan City…with a twist.
"Gympie has always been Bogan City and it was interesting that after 20 years since my last stay, nothing has changed except for the creation of another bogan generation.
Gympie is over represented in utes and pickups. The bigger the pickup, clearly in my mind is the diminished size of that persons manhood. The utes and pickups are belching, noisy, are constantly laying down rubber and it appears they must display multiple aerial's and beer decals along the sides.
It also appears nobody walks anywhere in Gympie as I was the only person who walked the 45 minutes return walk to the local Aldi without encountering anyone else.
The motel room is quirky, there’s a lift to take you to the first floor and the twist?
One of the drivers of the before-mentioned utes with multiple aerials, multiple headlights and beer decals unexpectedly gave way to me waiting at an intersection and courteously waved me on…"
