"We booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Unfortunately, our dining experience at the High Tide restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess who seated us to the uncomfortable low seating at our table, everything felt subpar. The food had no flavor at all, especially when compared to their sister property, Bernardus, in Carmel Valley—there’s simply no comparison. On a positive note, the pool and staff at the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. However, while the room was decent, it did not justify the additional price we were charged for our two-night stay."

"Very nice beds, soft sheets and 4 great pillows on a med firm good bed. Quiet, peaceful. Safe and a really great location. Within 3 miles of Shadowbrook restaurant for their free taxi, or easy 5 min drive to park lot. Hotel was good. Sliding glass door to open to tiny patio, best on 2nd flr. Clouds from ocean in night and am cool off room well."

"It was a wonderful stay overall, though it started with a bit of a hiccup. I didn’t realize that, since this is a no-in-person-office property, I needed to complete check-in 24 hours in advance, lesson learned the hard way! When I arrived, I wasn’t able to reach anyone for almost an hour. I’m not sure if my phone number was being flagged as spam, but none of my calls were answered and I didn’t receive a response to my texts. Fortunately, when my husband called, his call was answered, and from that point on everything went very smoothly. Overall, we had a great stay. Just one important tip for future guests, don’t forget to complete your check-in 24 hours before arrival!"

"Its a convenient location walking distance to the restaurants and stores. We stayed in the Bonaire Rm. Quiet, breezey, good light. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The staff was lovely, very knowlegeable and most helpful. The hotel provides parking placards for guests althought, parking during busy times, could be a bit of a challenge. The breakfast is continental and perhaps could be a little more robust."

"What a wonderful place! My husband and I and our two dogs truly enjoyed our time here. Walking distance to the beach. We enjoyed a nice beach bonfires every night. Can’t wait to go back."
