Hotels near Grand Egyptian Museum

"Worst airport transportation ever! Hotel arranged a morning private car to airport. Driver and I discussed going to terminal 3 at Cairo airport. We confirmed it was Egyptair international flight (which he says always goes out on terminal 3). Next thing I knew we were at the airport. He asked something unintelligible about luggage as if he didn’t want to take them out of the trunk which he later did. When I tipped him 200 Egyptian pounds he said “US dollar good; Egyptian money no good.” Next thing I found out he left me at terminal 2 instead of 3 and he had already taken off! Left stranded I had to walk through unmarked ramps and roads to get to terminal 3 with my wife and 4 pieces of luggage. Never will come back again. "

"The staff were excellent, genuinely friendly and always willing to go out of their way to help. The hotel even arranged a complimentary airport pickup for us. Our flight was delayed by over three hours, yet the driver remained patient and accommodating throughout. They also offer a range of tours and activities, including quad biking around the pyramids at sunset, which I would highly recommend. The hotel is located opposite the Grand Egyptian Museum, though I would suggest taking an Uber to get there as crossing the busy road can be difficult due to the central barrier. The surrounding area feels safe, although it is still developing. That said, it is easy to see how it will improve further as the area is prime location for development. "

"All staff were very friendly at the hotel. On arrival, our room was not ready. We were offered complimentary welcome drinks and a choice of pasta/pizza at the restaurant. This was a kind gesture as due to new rules local places were closing at 9pm. The hotels restaurant stays open until midnight. I had reserved a quadruple room with a pyramid view. On allocation, the room was tiny, sufficient for a two person stay. I checked with reception, and they advised that was all that was available! We were travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. On further checks they advised if I waited another 40 mins they could have another room made for us but did not come with a pyramid view, we committed (lack of choice). The rooms in general are ok, there is a lot of renovation required but at the price you cant really complain. The staff were friendly, the restaurant staff were amazing; the breakfast selection was huge. Lots of good choices for breakfast. Overall, good for the pyramid views but you would be compensating comfort, in my opinion. My kids could not wait until we checked out. Thankfully we only booked a single night. "

""Within two hours" we vacated frantically found another hotel in Expedia! Wasted money! Why? This hotel is located in a dark alley inaccessible even by local drivers, no nearby restaurants, Cannot communicate with manager or anyone NO ENGLISH. Cannot call taxi or uber unless you pay extra due to location. Not safe for family, children. May be for solo traveler's ok. Not on GPS!"
