"We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. "In the middle of nowhere and rooms, although clean with comfortable beds are the most basic - absolutely no amenities. It is a 15 minute drive to the nearest town and there is no restaurant - only breakfast (which was very good) no tea/coffee in the rooms only in the lounge/dining area and once cups are used there are no clean ones. Honestly Hotels.com need to be more clear in their description. Very expensive for what you get!"
