"Cliff was very friendly, greeting me at the door as I arrived. With the available parking meaning that my car would be blocked in, Cliff ensured that I was able to move my car so that it would be free for me leaving early the next morning. The room was comfortable and I had a great sleep."

"Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was water in the mini fridge and a Nespresso machine for coffee. I would highly recommend the Housekeeping Team, they do an amazing job. We have been staying at Formby Hall for 20 years or so and the one thing that has let it down has been the food quality and breakfast service, so this stay we were very pleased to see the improvements made to the whole breakfast experience. There was fresh fruit, excellent pastries, good quality bread for toasting. I didn't try the cooked option but we could see other guests enjoying it. The waiting staff were very polite and tried to provide quick service. This morning the hotel was full and breakfast crowded which meant we had to wait a long time for our pots of tea. However, this is a vast improvement on previous stays when you had to get your own tea /coffee from a very cheap machine. All the staff were well dressed and all had a smile. We are looking forward to our next stay. "
