"The accommodation offered good pricing and a convenient location, which were definite positives. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the shared kitchen facilities were generally fine to use. However, the overall cleanliness of the room was below expectations. Under the bed appeared not to have been cleaned for quite some time, and there was noticeable mould in the bathroom. In addition, the ovens in the kitchen were not working during our stay. Another downside was the lack of visible staff throughout the two nights we stayed, and our room was not serviced at all during that time."

"Taupo is freezing and room took ages to warm up. Air con was very noisy but we needed it on all night to stay warm. We were disappointed in the hilton, bed was old and uncomfortable, unit was very noisy both with plumbing from above us and some trades, we stayed 2 nights and cups for in room coffee were getting pretty manky. Carpet had big stains on it. Staff were lovely, place easy to get to, lots of complimentary parking, spa,was wonderful. I expected a higher standard because of its rating and also because its a hilton"
