The rest stop has excellent food options until 10 pm. Parking is free. I make a ritual of stopping here for an overnight stay every time I drive to Italy in the summer. "Vasja is a fabulous host, who greets visitors with a welcome drink & plenty of regional insight. The apartments are designed for big groups with multiple beds in multiple rooms. While we only stayed for 2 nights, things are set up nicely for week-long stays. Breakfasts are delicious and locally sourced. Bovec is reasonably convenient (35-40 min) to ski slopes in Italy. It’s also in the heart of beautiful natural wonders. Driving the mountain roads nearby is exhilarating."
