"A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. "

"Check in instructions were great and What 3 Words took me right to the door. Apartment was warm, spacious and clean, with a great shower and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s super handy for the beach. There are some unfinished apartments nextdoor which are unsightly. However, they cause no issue and they are soon to be finished which will make the whole complex a lovely area. It’s peaceful and you can hear the sea with a window open. And apparently the hail - great British weather! I was visiting a relative at a nearby care home and it was perfect for what I needed. Would highly recommend "

"We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "I searched for a property with parking, but it's only street parking. The road to the property is very dangerous to get in/out of, and parking difficult (I not a nasty note from a neighbour because I parked in front of their garden path. Wouldn't stay here again because of road and parking - but if you're not driving, it's a lovely property. Public path right along property - hope you're not bashful when in the shower!"

"Wonderful and imaginative breakfast menu with many options. Lovely setting on a hillside overlooking the valley and just a few minutes from the sand dunes and beaches of the estuary. Very warm welcome from our hosts and can thoroughly recommend to others."
