This was a great experience, as this was a first for me. Met with Zen upon arrival, she is a pleasant person. She gave me the room and door code, then showed the property. EVERYTHING was very clean. The bed was comfortable with all the amenities of a hotel. I plan on staying on my next trip to this area, and tell others looking for a nice place less than a hotel.

Super clean, host responded instantly to texts. It's a house, in a neighborhood. Some rooms are shared common areas. The room i booked was private with a private bathroom.
Clean and private, i recommend it anybody who try to stay over night very budget friendly, only think i don't like is to share bathroom with other guests, but this way is cheaper, i only stayed one night it was no problem
Lovely space, quick responses from property owner answering all questions. Highly professional and friendly. Accommodated for late arrival and early departure times.
No complaints at all about the facility. Very clean, nice modern bathroom with privacy Other guests were quiet and I like how parking was assigned.
The area isn’t the best ….i keep the air on so street and outside noise didn’t disturb me. Comfortable place to stay
Short stay at Zen Homes in Tampa near Bush Gardens
I have been traveling to Tampa area for work for nearly 25 years and I have stayed at many different hotels, this house was much nicer and had all the comforts of home, no horrible smoke or moldy smelling rooms, everything was clean and comfortable the bathroom was perfect and . The check in process was fast and convenient. I will definitely be staying here again soon. In addition to the comfortable room I also saved money compared to the local hotels.
Zen was really accommodating. Walked us through the checking in process.

This place is for people staying for extended periods who want to minimize costs and are willing to adapt. It does not have all the usual amenities of a hotel. There were no cups, and one towel and one “rag” each. The room lock was loose, and the toilet lid was broken. However, it was clean. I would not want to walk in the neighborhood after dark.
This was just a place to sleep after a night spent at the theme park, so I was really looking for convenience and affordability, which it satisfied on both accounts. That being said, here are some areas that could use improvement: The gate is broken and doesn't lock. Not great for feeling safe or secure. Once inside the entryway it smells like cat pee for some reason. It's just right there by the door so I dunno what happened. The room itself was fine and didn't smell at all. There was a large discolored stain on the carpet beside the bed that probably needs to be professionally cleaned, but otherwise the room was clean. The bed is one of those foam block type mattresses and it's hard as a rock so if you like a softer feel, sorry, you're not gonna sleep great. The nicest part was the shower which is huge and has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in little pump bottles. Happy to report the toilet has a bidet installed. Quite nice.
All in all I'm happy with my choice since it met my primary needs well. It's super close to the park and definitely affordable. Neighborhood was quiet and it was generally a nice stay.

One thing I wish I knew about this property first off is that you’re getting a room in a shared house. That being said, we didn’t have any issues with other tenants. The property was clean and each room had its own electronic lock and each room had a mini fridge assigned to it.
However, only 1 room had a private bathroom. The other 3 or 4 rooms shared the same bathroom. This wasn’t too much of a concern, but there was a sign on the trash can that said to throw everything away, including toilet paper. I don’t know if that’s a normal thing for the area, but being from Idaho, throwing used toilet paper in the garbage seemed a bit odd. My wife and I ended up driving to a nearby gas station to use the bathroom due to this.
The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had, but I had to ask each time for check-in and check-out instructions, they weren’t automatically sent me to as was implied.
The other thing to note is that people will drive through the area in the middle of the night blasting music from their cars with the bass turned up. My wife and I were woken up by this more than once during our stay.
Overall, not a bad place to stay for a vacation, but next time I’ll spend a little more for a place I can flush toilet paper.
