"Our stay at the Maya Resort in Ubud was unforgettable from the very start. When we arrived, a few curious monkeys were waiting in our garden to welcome us — a sign of the nature and charm that defines this place. The next morning, as I set out for an early walk, I was lucky enough to join a large family of about thirty monkeys on the first leg of my hike. They moved calmly and peacefully through the forest, completely at ease with my quiet presence. It was a magical and truly unique experience. Beyond the wildlife encounters, everything at Maya Ubud was exceptional. The meals were consistently delicious, the resort grounds were immaculate and lush, and the service was flawless — attentive without being intrusive. "Solo traveller, and had a perfect stay here. Quiet and outside of the main Sidemen area, so very quiet and relaxing. Pool and resturant was as expected, and rooms were comfortable. A BIG highlight was the staff, especially the concierge Adit who always made me feel comfortable and was sure to check in with me to make sure i was enjoying myself (not sure if many solo travellers come here). Its a new hotel, so a real hidden gem. Bikes for rent available, spa facilities on site, but walkable to plenty of warung, silver classes, spa/massage etc also."
