"First could not find reservation, Waited over one hour and lady at desk had an attitude. Then taken to wrong room; no ocean view. Then moved to another building and it has a ocean view from 14th floor over a 1/4 mile away! No where near the beach; you have to walk to a open field and then pay to go on the beach. This is just old condo's that are empty and poorly managed and false advertising at the least. would NEVER recommend! Oh, and a $13.00 per hour early check in; charged for 2 hours even...

"Got two rooms, no hot water in either room, shower heads were plugged in both rooms no cable in one room and no wires to hook it up, the views were great, internet was great but the showers and hot water was an issues and before they say something about not being plugged in or turned on, I am a plumber and they were, they shower heads were so clogged that only a few holes allowing water through but with no pressure."

"Nice hotel and great beach area. Room good. Staff excellent. Bed good. However some disappointments: 1. Restaurant choices and quality not great. If buffet is on 3 times a day, you cannot order ala carte. Went to Mercur 3 times to eat breakfast as buffet not good for me. 2. The TV channels were terrible in that no Nexflix, no You tube, no Paramount, no nothing but old crappy HBO shows that were mostly terrible. 3. No water provided in room. Dispenser in hall but nothing in room. 4. It seemed like they were cutting oorners wherever they could. The area is great but I expected more. 5. The in-house laundry guy said it is 150 pesos for each piece of laundry they do. I had bag full. Would have cost a fortune. Had to go the a wash and fold off property to do laundry. 150 pesos per piece. Not good. Housekeeper Eloisa was excellent and deserves a raise. Desk and door people very polite and professional."

"Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan is a beautiful tropical resort with immaculate grounds and one of the friendliest, most welcoming staffs I’ve experienced. The property truly feels like a tropical escape. The beach isn’t a traditional sandy beach, as there are rocks when entering the water, but it’s still beautiful, and I enjoyed seeing tropical fish while swimming. The resort has several restaurants, although the food was somewhat hit or miss. I wanted to give this resort five stars, but a few things held it back. Service was usually excellent, but there were times when it was difficult to get someone’s attention to order food or drinks. The rooms were also noisier than expected. I could hear the air conditioner, neighboring villa doors, and occasional music from nearby. The villa was nice and comfortable, but I would have appreciated a comfortable chair or small couch. My room overlooked a nicely landscaped garden, but beyond that was just a wall. The location is very secluded. There isn’t anything within walking distance, so you’ll need a taxi to go anywhere. The surrounding neighborhood is much more modest than the resort itself. The gym yoga mats were worn and should be replaced or cleaned more regularly. I also found the spa to be overpriced for the experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with wonderful staff that could easily earn five stars with a few improvements."
